blue & blue reunion at blue baker

i am at a loss for words. strange, i know. i just can't put into words how wonderful it was to see paige, kimbo, errinne, noel, virginia (and emily noah!) in person. it had been almost a full calendar year since i had seen kimberly ginnings, and though her blog eases that pain of long distance, it was so great to hear her funny and intelligent musings about life.

it was great to see the whole crew, the newlyweds and the grad students and people you've shared so many laughs with. it was surreal to see paige jarvis, one of my closest friends from college station days, in the flesh after months of praying for her over in greece. though i have loved writing her the occasional long love letter and putting international postage on the envelope, hearing her voice and giving her a hug was great.

jarv, i am so proud and in awe of the things you are doing over there in athens!! can't wait for the rendevous in the big apple. check nelson mandela's schedule and see if he'll be in town, too.

we all took a stab at telephoning hodge podge since we missed her. kimbo won the prankster award, with a straight face the entire time, pretending to be: "sally fields from home depot. i'm calling regarding your application. we can currently offer you a position on our loading dock between the hours of 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. you must be able to lift 75 pounds, so if you go to your local gym and lift 75 lbs, have someone verify that and get back with me. please call me as soon as possible. my phone number is...homedepot.com. thank you."
