dear readers,
a few words of advice. 1) watch the movie hope floats as soon as possible if you've never seen it. sure, i've built it up over the years in my head, after numerous viewings with high school friends and one jennifer baring beitler memorizing it with me, but it's great. classic, i'm telling you.
2) if you haven't watched it in the last five years, rewatch.
3) if you ever find yourself on highway 71 between austin and houston, i recommend exiting Colorado Drive and winding your way around to see the house in real life. Why? Because, a) sandra bullock spent time on that porch, and harry connick jr. so basically now that i've been there, we've hung out. b) it's a gorgeous house built in 1908 and the porch is... stunning. i
c) why not?
so, i'll quit talking, here's the trailer to the movie and some pics I took at the house yesterday.
i could practically feel the sweat from my imaginary mason jar full of lemonade, it was so lovely to stand on the porch of this century-old house.
