piano staircase - our superintendent, mike feinburg, showed this video today at a KIPP session for staff/faculty about the ideals and operating norms of our schools. he closed with this video, reminding us not to lose sight of the joy factor in our teaching.
i'm super pumped for tomorrow - the kids come back to school after our 2 week winter break. i've got new posters in my room, new seating charts, we're introducing classroom jobs for each student, i might have a new lady bug puppet (thanks to ikea) who is "callie the counting critter" -because counting is our weakest area right now and its high time i stepped up my game as the lead teacher.
could someone remind me of this uber-excitement i have right now when my alarm goes off at 5:30 a.m. tomorrow....
