yes, its true, i'm obsessed with weddings. the invitations, the dresses, the music, the dancing, the color combinations, the flowers, the pictures, the people in love... seriously, weddings. magnificent.renza & i always seem to attract weddings when we're together - 2006 in sevilla, spain we took pictures of a wedding party...2009 in historic roma, we took pictures of a bride and groom, and now- COLORADO!
a couple got married mid-mountain on new years eve, partially blue skies overhead, fresh snow on the ground, bridal party all on skis or snowboards. we got off the gondola just in time to see them before they skiied off.
the bridesmaids wore cream peacoats with different colored beanies - black or white with a hot pink knit flower on the side. their furry mufflers were my favorite.
groomsmen wore tails and tuxedo shirts, with fitted ski pants on bottom.
the bride's dress and coat were incredible - i didn't get it on film but her dress had a side train that hooked onto her wrist so when she skiied off with her hubby, her dress trailed out to the right and looked gorgeous.
it was soooo cool. i was jumping up and down - in ski boots - and i didn't even know these people. as renza and i were making our way down a different ski run later that day, i realized... if i ever become willing to be married outside of the great state of Texas, Colorado on a snowy mountain would be perfect.
